Morning Beauty Boost! Even if coffee is your thing

Looking for a beauty boost! You may want to try this. Warranted coffee can be dehydrating, it is a tiny morning habit of mine that I have been cutting down to one cup. We all have our vices. Nevertheless, my kitchen Diva Diana, 'the hostess with the mostest,' who does not drink coffee worked up a special brew for me that she felt was much more conducive to a healthy glow, then a single cup of Joe. The best part is you can totally replace the coffee with Dandy Blend, a dandelion instant drink that tastes like coffee. Add each based on serving instructions into your cup of morning brew, and stir: Collagen powder. Collagen is found in connective tissue, skin, tendons, bones, and cartilage. It provides structural support to tissues and plays important roles in cellular processes, including tissue repair, immune response, cellular communication, and cellular migration. Cordyceps. It is believed the antioxidant content may explain anti-aging potential. They are thought to increase the body’s production of the molecule adenosine triphosphate (ATP), which is essential for delivering energy to the muscles. They may also slow growth of tumours. Cordyceps have also been shown to help with diabetes, heart health and internal inflammation. Lion’s mane. The ability of lion’s mane mushroom to promote nerve growth and protect the brain from Alzheimer’s-related damage may explain some of its beneficial effects on brain health. New animal research has found that lion’s mane mushroom extract has anti-inflammatory effects that can reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression in mice. It may protect against the development of stomach ulcers by inhibiting the growth of H. pylori and protecting the stomach lining from damage. Dandelion. Dandelions contain beta-carotene, which is an antioxidant that helps protect cells from damage. The carotenoids such as beta-carotene play a vital role in reducing cell damage. Other research has shown that dandelion may support lowering blood pressure, reducing inflammation, and regulating blood sugar. Evidence also shows that dandelion may be help in reducing certain types of cancer, while boosting the immune system and traditionally has been used to aid in digestion. Not to mention keeping the skin healthy by protecting skin from UV light. Cinnamon. Cinnamon is an anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal. May support gut health and manage blood pressure. Lowers blood sugar and risk of type-2 diabetes. Cinnamon may also be beneficial for the aging brain.
Diana’s special beauty brew of collagen, cordyceps, lion’s mane, reishi mushroom, dandelion, cinnamon and...coffee.

Reach for Plants ~ Rhodiola to the Rescue

Reach for Plants ~ Rhodiola to the Rescue The other day I was feeling off, stressy and overwhelmed. I feel it has a lot to do with the constant unseasonable rain and cloud cover. After unsuccessful attempts to redirect my mood, I decided to have a time out and it popped in my head to add some Rhodiola rosea to my Kombucha. It felt as if only minutes had passed, and this lightness came over me. The heavy overwhelm lifted, my mood noticeably softened. It is a good reminder that our plant allies are there at the ready to help! Studies have found rhodiola may help strengthen the body’s response to physical stressors like exercise and psychological stressors such as fatigue and depression. Other studies, many in test tubes and animals, have suggested that rhodiola may help protect against certain health conditions, such as cancer, depression, and diabetes. However, more research is necessary to quantify how traditional medicine already uses this herb. Rhodiola has been used in trad...

High Vibe Matters ~ What is the Frequency of Your Products!?

A Few Notes on Frequency and Why it Matters to your Skin and Body! We are in the glorious 're-membering' of incredible wisdom that was momentarily veiled from our communities. Nonetheless, not unlike our fearless and resilient dandelion allies, such sacred knowing can be stamped on, subjugated, ignored, buried, polluted, poisoned and pulled out BUT it keeps popping its little lion maned yellow head up to say, "I'm still here!" I wanted to put a few notes together to get our community thinking about the importance of the frequency of what we utilize on the daily, whether that is in consuming, wearing or in our bath and beauty products. I have maintained over the years you cannot put non-living dead frequency on living frequency and expect life. It's simply not possible.  The frequency of the human body typically ranges from 62 to 78 MHz when healthy, with disease starting to occur when it drops below 58 MHz. Each organ also has its own specific frequency, co...

Calendula ~ the flower with the power of the sun to cool, soothe & rejuvenate!

We are going to outline a few reasons why one of our cornerstone flowers Calendula, is an invaluable long time ingredient in our product offerings at  bee23.ca , including our famous Hotty Balm!  Calendula, or otherwise known as Pot Marigold, not to be confused with True Marigold containing toxic properties,  is like bringing the power of the sun with you into each season that comes. This is important as we move into the gorgeous reflective time of autumn. Calendula, scientifically known as Calendula Officinalis, is a perennial plant that is considered easy to cultivate in temperate climates. The leaves are considered edible, and their petals are occasionally used to add colour to salads or as a garnish, however, its most popular use is as a tea. Spiritually, many practitioners throughout the ages have worked with Calendula for its ability to bring in the energies of love, clairvoyance, and renewal. The light in this flower warms and disperses dampness, stagnation,...
