We know if you are serious about your health and skin care this information will be of the utmost importance to you, even if you only absorb a few snippets! Studies show that there is a connection between the deterioration and dryness of skin and osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and various bone pathologies. This is a reasonable assumption considering connective tissue is responsible for the fortitude of our bones, hair, nails, and skin. Connective tissue has a role in the storage, absorption and disposal of waste from the body, it transports vitamins, nutrients and oxygen, while a...

Beauty and the Liver! Why a healthy liver is a must for gorgeous skin.

We often over look this organ. Why is a healthy liver so important to great skin? We sat with women from varying backgrounds, ages and lifestyles. We will be unpacking the truths involving our relationship with beauty and the way this impacts how we treat ourselves and others, the way we see ourselves, and feel in our bodies. We realized there can be no Green Beauty movement without understanding that true beauty is much more than skin deep. This is not a cliché but an intellectual understanding that beauty is a vibration or a frequency, it is something that we are able to ‘feel.’ This feeling of ‘beautiful’ is what unlocks our individual magic and prowess in our everyday lives. We will explore the four pillars...

Is Aging Skin Truly Inevitable!?

Noticeable changes in the skin including wrinkles, pigmentation spots, and loss of elasticity are considered a natural part of aging, but what is aging? Current medical science explains starting in what is called middle age, the bodily systems become more vulnerable to daily wear and tear. During the latter half of our life span, an individual is more prone to have problems with various functions of the body. It is interesting to note that as far as scientists know, currently there is no hormone or code that causes death or self-destruction. We have ‘Aging Theories’ that range in hypothesis from preprogramed cellular divisions determining our life span, to a loss of molecular changes in the protein molecules of body tissues, or the over abundance of free-radical activity resulting in degenerative disease. Although Haas and Levin from Stayin Healthy with Nutrition state signs of age come with changes in our bodily systems resulting in poor delivery of oxygen and nutrients to the tissues...
